          SEISMIC DOMOTICS INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES FOR HOME AND

           SYSTEM SAFETY

SMART CITIES AND COMMUNITIES AND SOCIAL INNOVATION PROJECT

MIUR – Italian Ministry of Education, University and  Research

The project DIONISO aims at defining innovative interdisciplinary courses for              industrial  research oriented at managing emergencies and rescue, through the implementation of specific domotic devices, characterized by high levels of sustainability. These devices combine safety and targeted industrial production in a single context that is premised on ethical economic growth of the community

The research activities planned integrate interdisciplinary scientific (ICT, domotics and robotics, Geophysics, Seismic Engineering, Medicine, Law) and business skills in an area with a high social impact related to the emergency management and relief efforts after the earthquake, resulting in the creation of different domotic devices, characterized by high levels of innovativeness and originality:

INSIDE

Development of domotic devices and smart systems to determine the amount of people inside a building after a seismic event; low cost wireless networks and cloud platforms;

ESCAPE

Development of domotic devices and smart systems specifically designed and built to facilitate the evacuation of people from buildings after a strong earthquake;

RESCUE

Development of domotic devices and smart systems to locate people buried by building collapse, and still alive;

LIFELINES

Development of domotic devices and smart systems for the lifelines (Water and Power) emergency activation after a strong earthquake
